| About Me |
- My name is Kari Thorstensen Shah. I was born in Norway and have been living in Surrey since 1970. I am married and have two adult sons.
- I have a private counselling and psychotherapy practice in Purley, Surrey
- I have worked as a counsellor in the voluntary sector since 1996. I first worked as a Youth Counsellor with Off the Record for five years and since 2001 I have been working with Relate as a couple counsellor.
- I am a graduate of the Spectrum training programme. Spectrum is a centre for humanistic psychotherapy and is accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I have been in on-going training and professional development at Spectrum since 1993 and I follow the Spectrum code of ethics in my work.
- My background is in education as an adult education teacher and manager.
